Mini-Sessions

Thank you for booking a mini-session with me.

Life goes by too fast, so cheers to you for making it a priority to capture each stage. I can’t wait to work with you and document your world as it is. If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for a time-slot. If you need the link to book, please email me (cassie.trottier@outlook.com).

  • Let’s officially get you booked!

    Upon completion of the mini-session form, you will receive an email including your contract and a link to payment. You will have 24 hours to submit your payment. If no payment is received, your slot will be offered to the next in line.

    This amount is non-refundable.

  • What to Wear

    Don’t overthink it. There are a few guidelines I would try to stick to, but other than that, it’s totally up to you. I use to always recommend "neutral colors," but I also love when clients infuse their unique style into the session. Whatever color you’re thinking about, there are neutral versions - dusty blue, olive green, ivory, rust, mauve, etc. But if you want to go bright, go for it!

    Try to avoid really loud prints, patterns, or colors (neon green, hot pink, bright red, etc.). With that being said...I also love patterns! Subtle, neutral patterns are typically the most flattering and timeless.

    Of course, you can’t go wrong with relaxed jeans, a basic tee, some boots, a jacket, a knit/chunky sweater, a fun hat, a neutral sundress, loose overalls or some linen pants…but if you want to get funky, please do! Dress for the environment - if we are shooting at a farm, I’d avoid heels.

  • The Session

    We will have 15 minutes to get a variety of photos.

    Due to the nature of these sessions, it’s a good idea of have an idea of what type of photos or combinations YOU’RE wanting. I will hit all the basics, but feel free to voice any extra requests. Since we have limited time, I will work as efficiently as I can to give you the best photos possible.

    Prepare yourself ahead of time; even though Mom & Dad are ready for the photoshoot, kiddos don’t always follow along with our time restraints 😉. It’s totally normal if your child isn’t fully attentive - just focus on having the most FUN you can…interacting with them and enjoying yourself is the best way to help bring out the giggles.

    If kiddos are grumpy or not-cooperative, I know how overwhelming that can be. I always encourage my families to meet kids where they're at - focusing less on forcing a smile and more on just enjoying the moment. We'll try our best, but if all else fails, let's focus on having FUN.

    Bribes - The idea of an ice-cream trip afterwards or having their favorite snack nearby to motivate them can sometimes work wonders...and sometimes not!

  • Photos will be delivered to you within 7-14 days. You will receive a digital album where you can download, print, share the photos as you’d like.
