The art of your everyday story

Spokane, WA and Pacific Northwest family and lifestyle photography

A young girl in a yellow dress and boots standing under a tree in a grassy field, with two small goats nearby, during a sunny day.

Real life, beautifully remembered

I want the time we spend together to feel like home: familiar, warm, and deeply true to your life. My approach is simple, intentional, honest and full of heart - meant to preserve your story as it is. Fifty years from now, I want these photographs to stir the same emotions you felt in the moment - the laughter, the closeness, the quiet chaos, the love. It’s not about perfection. It’s about remembering how it felt.

A close-up of a pregnant woman wearing a textured bandeau top, with her partner's hands gently cradling her belly, the woman also touches her belly with her hand.

  • Childhood is messy and exciting and unpredictable. My sessions follow suit.

As parents, it’s normal to feel nervous about how your kids will perform or behave. This isn’t the time for that. Our session is a time for giggles and messy hair, for running fast or falling down, for tickles and kisses and giant hugs. It’s not a time for apologies or nervousness. Let hem be wild and let yourself enjoy a moment of vulnerability with your babies.

  • Leave the dishes. Leave the laundry. Leave the toys in the yard. Let’s document life as it is.

  • Storybooks before bed, bath time with siblings, dog snuggles, gardening, baking bread, hanging clothes on the line, playing in the nursery, running wild outside…all these moments are worthy of remembering. One day, when your baby is a teenager and uninterested in the same activities or off to college and far away, these moments will transport you back in time. These moments are magic.
